SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Welcome to our submissions page and thank you for your interest in submitting your work to deLuge.
note: deLuge is an online journal at this time. We are now accepting submissions for upcoming issues! Ongoing rolling submissions will be accepted year-around with month long occasional breaks. We charge a small fee to help with the costs of keeping up our website but understand that it can be prohibitive to some so we take periodic breaks during which no fee will be charged. Please check on our Submittable page for updates. For each issue, we will carefully select quality work that speak to, from and about the inner experience. We accept all genres, from traditional to experimental forms including (but not limited to) poems, stories, fairy tales, essays, memoir pieces, short and flash fiction, creative out of the box writing pieces, drawings, paintings, collages, sculpture, photography. We are looking for well-wrought work that dazzles, catches our breath, resonates like the low hum of the bass cello. Dazzle slant or straight on, bring us to epiphany, to the cliff edge or show us through quiet – however the work sings, we are looking for work that leaves us feeling your piece long after that note finishes. We welcome submissions from new, emerging and established writers. We want strong, passionate pieces that excite and challenge. Within our categories, please know that we accept all ranges of styles. We do accept simultaneous submissions, but ask for you to immediately inform us if a piece you have submitted to us has been accepted elsewhere. We do not consider work that has been previously published. Note: We do not take submissions directly for Flash Flood, but will gather writers and artists from our pool of submissions. Please include an author bio of 300 words or less in your cover letter. We will do our best to respond to each submission within 60 days. We hold first serial rights for the material we publish, the copyright reverts back to the author upon publication. deLuge reserves the right to publish individual pieces first published in the online magazine, in an anthology format in the future. We use an online organization to help with our submissions. When you are ready to submit your work, please go here to our submission system here: |
